<image:caption>The designer was having trouble with the layout of this room. She wanted to create an intimate and immersive environment that woud fit her color scheme. Initially, her intent was to lacquer the room but that was cost prohibitive. We came up with a prussian blue glossy leather finish with aged brass lining. Even without the brass lining, this technique would be a snazzy alternative to painted lacquer style walls. Location: NYC</image:caption>

<image:caption>The iconic Jean-Michel Frank was perhaps the most influential French designer of his time. He often paired rectilinear forms with luxurious materials like straw, plaster, terracotta, shagreen, obsidian, parchment, and mica. Mica is an iridescent mineral revered for it's shine and translucency. This project was inspired by one of Jean-Michel's famous cross-base lamps clad in mica sheets. It was a 10-step labor of love that I hope to do again someday. Location: NYC</image:caption>

      <image:title>Projects - Fresh basil</image:title>
<image:caption>This wall in the kitchen was big, dark and needed a little something. There was this amazing raking light coming in from both ends. The thought was to bring in some organic texture for interest and to add some iridescence in order to reflect some of the natural lighting. The inspiration was supposed to be the view of the surrounding hills, palms, and landscape. But the approved samples were definitely too strong and we needed to adjust on-site to accommodate the new thought process. Then we saw that basil plant sitting on the counter and we knew what we wanted to aspire to. Location: Hollywood Hills, CA</image:caption>
